Everything is More Beautiful Because We're Doomed

Any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful
because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier
than you are now. We will never be here again.

Silence

Here are the covers and a few interior pages of my most recently-completed artist's book, "SILENCE."  16"h x 13.5"w, 32 pages.  Materials include commercially-produced deckle-edged paper, translucent Unryu mulberry paper (covers), and inkjet-printed tissue paper with collaged book scraps for the interior. Figuring out how to print on tissue paper and adhere it into a book was...interesting!

This book is about silence -- where we find it and what it means.

Happy Inauguration Day!!

America is resting easier this evening, having installed a new President, one who is a fine human being with actual governing skills, not a raving egomaniacal lunatic.  Most of us feel loads better and people are optimistic. Sigh of relief.

And Trump?  He's seething in a dark corner somewhere, like some malevolent spider. Good riddance.

So What Now, America?

In October of 2018, I finished an altered book called "Whither," about the effects of Trumpian politics on America.  These are the last two page spreads.

Don't give me credit for foretelling the future; it was easy to see where all this was heading.  What isn't clear, however, is what happens now...whither, America??
