Gun Metaphors at Book Power Redux

Earlier this year, 23 Sandy Gallery in Portland, OR, and the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA, invited book artists to submit to "Book Power Redux."  The exhibit features works addressing social and political issues -- race, diversity, equality, justice, poverty, war and more.  "Gun Metaphors," an artist's book I put together last year in response to the child murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School, will be part of that exhibition.  Here are a few photos:

"Gun Metaphors," 24 pgs, 7 x 7.5 inches, images and text collaged onto pages torn from brown paper grocery bags, soft covers collaged with an altered pulp-style movie poster image, bound in exposed long-stitch style.
