The Northwest Collage Society is presenting its winter show at the wonderful new Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds, January 19 - March 26, 2017. CAM is a great addition to the local art scene; it opened its doors in late 2015 and offers a rich array of paintings, prints, sculpture and photography created by artists active in the Pacific Northwest during the mid-19th through mid-20th century time period. The art is stunning: the "Big Four" are here, of course (Tobey, Calahan, Graves, and Anderson), and there are quality pieces by many others. The physical setting -- a repurposed and beautifully altered former Safeway suppermarket -- is lovely, with crisp white walls and high, beamed ceilings. Go see it.
And, while you're there you can visit a side gallery that is hung with "Collaged Impressions of Northwest Social Realism and the American Scene 1930 - 1950." I have three pieces (below) in the show and one of them ("Carrie") was honored with the Eleanor Wolters Smith Memorial Award. Thank you NWCS, CAM, and juror/curator David F. Martin.

What If
I've visited Cascade once and was impressed both with the facility and the exhibits. I'm looking forward to seeing the NWCS show and your works in particular! (Any chance "She Just Explodes" is for sale?)

BTW, we discovered a great little restaurant in Edmonds the night we visited -- it's called Bar Dojo, and they serve absolutely delicious Asian fusion style food and clever cocktails, maybe you'll want to give 'em a try!
